Experience Mapping & UX Design: Career Centre, University of Toronto

Course project (2017)

The aim of this group project was to represent students’ experiences when interacting with the University of Toronto’s Career Centre. This project consisted of two parts:

1. Experience mapping in order to represent the Career Centre’s offerings, the students’ experiences, and the points of interaction between the two. The mapping process involved interviewing students. The experience map revealed opportunities for improvements to digital touch points, such as the user experience of the website.

2. We proposed re-designing the user interface of the Career Centre’s ‘Career Navigator’ website. This involved an iterative design approach and included developing an information architecture schema, prototyping in Axure, and usability testing.

The goal of the mapping and re-design was to help students make the most of the website’s resources, and to build exposure about services offered by the Career Centre.
