Digital transformation of service alerts
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is exploring innovative ways to deliver service alerts to its customers. I worked with another student to design a proof-of-concept intranet system that enables staff to log service disruptions as structured data and generate service alert scripts for multiple channels. The proposed service alert system would display information on output channels including displays within subway stations, in bus shelters, on the TTC website, and social media.
• developed business use case scenarios and business rules
• diagrammed business process models for subways, streetcars, and buses, using business processing model notation (BPMN)
• designed a functioning system interface wireframe using Axure, which included a user manual.
A developer has been developing our proposed system.
